I have always been slightly envious of anyone who could paint, having been told at school 'that I had no talent'.

Now retired, I have had the opportunity to 'have a go'. I joined Harriet's class two years ago and have enjoyed every minute of it: particularly the Rousseau project and the negative painting. I find that I view my surroundings though very different eyes and am realising what I have missed.

Harriet gives both encouragement and instruction and makes the class fun. I only wish I had started earlier.

The class is  a source of inspiration.  It has extended my horizons and got
me to paint in a way that I had never before envisaged.  The support and
encouragement one receives from Harriet and my fellow students helps one
to keep going and overcome the difficulties.
